🎎 My, my, my, aye-aye, whoa!!!

First, as usual, the update on my life.

Haven't been able to properly sit down and play my guitar for ages, mainly due to the driving lessons I have been attending for the past 2 months. Like seriously, before I went overseas (A trip which I will share about later), I have been spamming driving lessons. After I came back, I continued spamming. Everyday there's driving; some days there are 2 lessons in a single day. One lesson is 100 minutes, usually in the afternoon or night, which explains my busy schedule. Tomorrow, hopefully, will be my last lesson, before I can book the Traffic Police Test, for which when I pass I will be a qualified driver.

Once I start driving, I may even put a portable amp and a spare guitar in my car; who knows? :p

Anyway, driving has not occupied my entire holiday. There was a period in between where I went to Puri to do some church mission work. It's basically social work, except that we are bringing in Christian values. Well, you can check out a video about it here! (It's a music video of my entire trip!)

OK! Now for the main purpose of this post. If you are a rocker, this post's title should ring a bell in your head. I will cut to the chase, it's lyrics that is part of the song My Sharona by The Knack. The story is, I stumbled upon this song when I was watching Phil X play a 1972 Fender Custom Telecaster Thinline in Lake Placid Blue. I just clicked on the video because Phil X is one of the most amazing demo artists on YouTube. Little did I know his recent demos includes a full song cover at the end of the video. And this song was the song for that video.

Throughout the whole of today, I was addicted to this song, mainly to it's main riff. It is a simple G note and an octave higher G note riff. 2 notes, catchy beat, amazing riff! Highly recommend you to listen to it (don't blame me if you get addicted to it)! After I learnt what the lyrics mean, I felt that this song is just too awesome for me to let go. So I spent the last 20 minutes trying to piece out the intro, and the chords that follow shortly after. Here is the video of me playing the riff my own way!

Maybe once I get my driving license I will have more free time! Then I will learn the full song, even the solo sounds amazing. But one step at a time though, I haven't record my Hotel California solo and haven't finish learning my Sweet Child solo. Ahhhhh so much to do but so little time!!! :(((((((

Still, stay tuned for more!

Check out the newest installation of my own personal space!

Since my sister got her own room, my study space was forced out to the balcony. Though I really like it a lot right now, since I can have my own personal small space and record my covers there. And look at the way the guitars are hanged; just lifts my mood whenever I look up, literally!

***I meant to post these pictures before I went overseas, but I think I forgot about it. So here's it anyway!***

Good day to you!

📖 Psalm 95:1-2

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
