Just a few days ago, I purchased a 2nd-hand Epiphone Les Paul 1960 Tribute Plus off a fellow Carouseller. The guitar was in mint condition and the playability was like new. After testing it out, I found it worthy to be recorded. And so today, I present a new guitar cover with this guitar!

Run, by Hillsong, is a familiar song to me. I've been singing it in church ever since I came to church. It has a very easy intro and turnaround lick. The verse, however, can be a little tough for some. Some will use their pinky to aid them in the verse lick, but I prefer just using my middle finger. Although it does sound a little rough, I'm still hitting the right notes so I think I'm fine with that. Chorus is a repetitive lick that doesn't seem to get old.
The effects used are very simple. The SP Compressor is kicked on to smooth out the input guitar signal and elongate the already wonderful sustain. The OCD is a must for the overdriven sound. And most importantly the Boss DD-5 for the Hillsong dotted 8th delay. I set the feedback to low because I only need one extra delay note; the song is a fast song and my fast playing will be smoother with just one extra ring.
Ultimately, it is the guitar itself that shines the brightest. The Gibson 57 Classic pickups really shone through this song. As it is not a heavy distortion song, the mildness of the 57 Classic was obvious. If I had played my 490R/498T, the bite would growl. I played the song in the middle position and both Classic and Classic+ was amazing!
To more guitar covers with this guitar!!!
