Joy!!! Unspeakable joy!!! That was what I am feeling exactly when playing this song. I gotta say, Jeremy Riddle's voice really brought out the best parts of this song. The way he wrote this composition made Christmas so much more exciting!!!
Huge-airy-pitchy-reverb-filled lead line sounds extremely majestic. This is the standard all Christmas songs should follow. Even throughout the verse and chorus, so much is going on that there is just no reason not to dance.
Used the Helix patch from the legend himself, David Hislop. He used this exact patch when playing the song live so this is the closest sound I can achieve. The POG effect at the intro lead line is subtle but brilliant. It brings forth the magical octave sounds heard usually on old school church organs. I also liked how the ambient sounds fitted right in at the quieter parts.
I made a few mistakes here and there because the song is super tight and my fingers are already tired from all the re-takes. I actually only wanna record this song because I can't get it out of my head. With it on my channel, now I can re-focus and learn new songs. Hark The Herald Angels Sing might be my next.
Christmas is my favourite holiday season and I really hope that one day I'll be able to play all these modern Christmas songs on the big stage!
