ðŸŽļ Squier Affinity PJ Bass

Wow I'm finally back to a full scale bass guitar! 2nd April 2018 was when I last held a full scale bass guitar in my collection. Since then, only one other bass guitar entered my life, the Ibanez mikro bass. It was a great 4 years with that short scale bass.

With 4 years of bass experience and 1 gig with a full scale Fender Precision Bass, I was ready to dive back into the world of full scale bass. Set my sights on a Precision Bass ever since I held the Fender Mexican one on stage.

Was contemplating between the Squier Sonic series, Affinity series and the Classic Vibe series. The Sonic range only have maple fretboards on their basses, which I don't prefer. The Classic Vibe range is a little too expensive for a bass in my collection.

The Affinity series was at the right price point for me. Even better, there is a PJ configuration which my 2 previous basses have also. I love the PJ configuration for the versatility. And side-mounted jack! This alone is a big win for me!

Nothing much can be said about this bass guitar except that it's a very solid workhorse. For $410, I even bought the Fender Rumble 15 bass amplifier from the Carouseller. Just as my Laney Mini Amp just fried out after suntanning for too long, a bigger and better amplifier is precisely what I need!

Plugging my Jethro Thinline into the Fender Rumble 15 sounds heavenly! Simply amazing!!! Can't wait to record some guitar covers with this new setup! Now all I'm left is another electric guitar and I'm done refreshing my collection!!!
