🎸 Change of Acoustic Guitar

It's been a long day, without you my friend 🎤

Ok wait, firstly it has not just been a long day, but a long month. This crazy month of August 2015 contains all my major exams. That is why I didn't have the time to touch even my guitar, much less say write here. Secondly, it is true I am without my friend, or rather my old friend. I have found my new friend. Who exactly is this friend? 🤔

It's my new acoustic guitar of course. After playing for half a year, I realised I don't really quite like the tone of my Aria AWN-15CE. The feeling is just not there. Even though it is visually appealing, it doesn't appeal to me. Initially, I bought the guitar from Davis Guitar at $135 (refer to my first post on this blog for more details) but I sold it on Carousell at $125. You might think I scammed someone but think about it, it is equipped with Elixir strings. Of course I went to get a new one, which I will touch on later. Right now, I have some final pictures taken moments before I sold it. These are the only few pictures left for me to remember my experience with this guitar. 😳

And now, for my new favourite acoustic guitar... introducing the Protege SA-1CE, by Maestro. The Protege series to Maestro is just like Epiphone to Gibson or Squier to Fender. For this SA-1CE, it is considered an entry-level guitar, but it is crazily more comfy than my old Aria. It is slightly smaller in size compared to my old Aria. The wood now is more pleasant looking than the Aria. Most of all, it is the electronics that is worth mentioning. There is a built-in tuner and more tone/volume options than the Aria. Of course, price wise, it is twice as expensive, at $250 bought directly from Maestro Shop at Peninsula. All in all, I just love this guitar so so much more than the Aria. See for yourself: 👀

Enough enjoyment. Colour wise it got the classic feel, which is so smooth to touch. Strings wise I just fitted it with Elixir strings today. I bought this guitar on 12th August 2015 and a week ago, the factory strings rusted. Lol. Not even 2 weeks, what lousy strings. Elixir all the way!!! 😎

So yeah, that's the big change that happened this month. Now for some updates,.. Since today is my last exam paper, I am now free to practise. I have been hitting up songs from Guns N Roses lately, as well as tabbing out tabs from my other songs. Another style is capturing voices through guitar. So many things to do. Oh and one more thing, my good friend Willis is coming over to learn guitar from me whenever we are both free. 😄 What an exciting holiday ahead!!! Stay tuned for more action coming soon! 😊
