This is the song that started my craze for God. This is the song that created the fire in me. And it's one of my favourite Christian songs still.

Many years ago, at Grace Retreat 2012, this was the theme song for the Youth Service. Every single night, after the combined service, the youths would request this song to be sung. Everybody sang, everybody danced, everybody celebrated into the night. Encore after encore, repeat after repeat, we were just on fire.
Today, I'm very honoured to be able to play this song on my guitar. It is a relatively simple song and the beats are addictive to play. The intro riff can be played in many different ways. Some add a lighter touch to it by adding delay, others play it high up beyond the 12th fret. I like it fast and loud, at the 4th fret. I start the riff at the B note on the 4th fret of the G string because the song is in the key of B.
The verse utilise a very special kind of playing style. The transition from a chord to a single note of the root of that chord makes it unique. I love it. Then comes the chorus. I played the exact 4 chords if I were to be playing acoustically, except that I used power chords instead. The standard E chord at the first few frets sounded too dull, so I moved up high towards the 7th fret.
The bridge can also be played in many different ways. I chose a simple lead line because I plan to improvise on it and enhance it into a riff. The riff would then solo over the bridge. But I guess I was too afraid to do anything in the video that I just played the foundation lines. Chords could also be used here but it was just too boring.

Believe it or not, I used only 2 pedals for the entire song. The standard SP compressor for compressing (duh) and the Boss OS-2 for the distortion. I turned the knob more towards distortion because it sounds better in this song.
Overall, it is a crazy nice song, even after 5 years since I first heard it. Definitely one song I would keep close to my heart at all times!
Yay! Praise God!
