ðŸŽļ Wait, What?!?!

Isn't this guitar stunning? Yeah that's the main reason I bought it as fast as I can from Carousell. I was scrolling through the marketplace as usual yesterday when I came across this guitar. Not just any guitar, this particular guitar is the one I was eyeing 3 weeks ago on Davis Guitar's website.

Sadly, I wasn't ready to buy a guitar new from the shop, until this one popped by on Carousell. By the time I saw it, it has already garnered 30 likes, which means if I don't offer my price the guitar would be gone, just like any other PRS guitar in the Carousell marketplace. Met up with the seller yesterday afternoon and the deal was done smoothly. Paid $750 for a 3-week old guitar that costs $999.

The guitar is in extreme mint condition, having just left Davis Guitar 3 weeks ago. I suspect this is the only piece they have in the shop and if I were to bring this guitar to Davis right now they would recognise it. Seller included the PRS gig bag as well, which looks better compared to the Gibson gig bag I have now. So there goes the Gibson gig bag!

What I like about this particular guitar is its zebra-wood top, not to mention that classic vintage sunburst finish. Although the zebra-wood is just a veneer over a maple body, it has this glorious shine from afar that dazzled me. This model is the 2018 model so everything is new here. The neck has been binded as opposed to the previous years (I love bindings!), and so has the body. The PRS headstock is stunning too!

This model comes with a tremolo bridge and coil taps, which is really handy. Now the last spot in my collection is filled. I guess I won't be aiming for the LTD EC-1000 anymore, since I now have a guitar with humbuckers covering the thicker ends. Speaking of humbuckers, I do not like how the zebra pickups look on this PRS, so I will be hunting for a pair of pickup covers to doll this guitar up. Stay tuned for that!

First PRS in my life, gotta take my time to explore its wonders!
