⚔️ Battle Belongs

So I have been missing for very long, yes yes. Just had no feels to touch guitar at all for the past few weeks due to being on course at Sungei Gedong. Come home from Sungei Gedong once and you will know what real "sian" feels like.

This cover, however, was recorded like last month but I didn't wanna upload it because I made a few mistakes in the video. The biggest regret for this cover is that I didn't play to a beat, which is important for any Phil Wickham song. His songs are always very tight and it's easy to lose mental counts.

My strumming pattern seems to be out of sync visually but audio wise it sounds rather alright. Not sure what went wrong there, probably the absence of beats. I tried my best to edit it to proper standards but honestly after recording there is nothing much I can do.

Song itself is very straight-forward, same few chords through-out. The lead and rhythm plays very different parts but mash together really, really well. It is a very very fun song to play, but one of the toughest to record because well, Phil Wickham. As usual, spectacular bridge from Phil Wickham, very TIAG-like bridge.

I don't have any pictures of the effects used because I didn't think I would upload this cover. This song is real easy to forget so I figured I'd upload it anyway. I think the effects used was David Hislop's Helix patch. Sounds very majestic.

📖 Psalm 95:1-2

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
