ðŸĪŠ Am I Back?

Well, am I?

That's for me to know, and for you to find out.

Jokes aside, yes, for this post, I'm back, with a plan for PEDALBOARD VERSION FIVE. A crazy plan. Yes I know I know. I've been missing for more than a month. There wasn't even a single post in the whole of September. To be honest, I've been feeling pretty high and dry recently. Zero inspiration, zero drive.

But not this time. Few days ago I might have potentially restarted my guitar pedals addiction. I have been on the fence to put together a Metro 16 pedalboard for quite a long while now. And finally, I stepped out and got myself a Metro 16 with hard case. One real step for me out of my hole again.

There you have it, my next project. From the Pedaltrain 2 Classic, to the Pedaltrain Junior, to a few Pedaltrain Nanos, who would have thought I'd have the energy to build another board on a Pedaltrain Metro 16?

I spent quite a while waiting for this Metro 16 to pop up. Knowing that there's no perfect fit Mono case for the Metro 16, I decided to go all-in for a hard case. Not many people like it though. But to me, this metallic case looks real sexy.

Lucky me, some dude on Carousell was selling a super mint condition one for $200. His listing has been there for weeks and I decide to lowball and try my luck with $120. And then all of a sudden, it was a deal. Wow!

Dude's Metro 16 is literally new, even the Velcro is not even applied to the board. He simply finds the case "too heavy". If it's not heavy, I would judge the sturdiness of it. Rode to the East side just to collect this board on one of the weekday nights.

Well, here comes the tough part: Rearranging. Previously, I had to plan every placement on the internet. Today, I finally could try it out physically. The sad thing is, after accounting for space for patch cables and power cables, I realized real estate is the real problem here.

I wanted to try to fit a volume pedal in that last empty space but I doubt that now. Maybe I might put 2 mini pedals there. But then again they would require power from the power supply, which at this time would just overload the electricity supply. Decisions, decisions.

I would still try to get a volume pedal fitted there. I still believe it's possible. Until then, I'll need to look for a power supply first. Seriously looking at the Truetone Onespot CS6. But in Singapore, that power supply is rare. Sigh...

***The Pedaltrain Metro 16 frame has been sold on 10th October 2025 for $60. The hard shell case is still with me though.
