🎎 End Of 2022

After university life started, I hardly had time to play guitar anymore. My commitments piled up and guitar somehow dropped further down my priority list. I wasn't buying gear like I used to, but that's a blessing in disguise. Some could say I'm slowly letting go of this hobby, sadly.

I didn't expect this to happen, but with studies, bouldering and an incredible part-time job I've found, it's only a matter of time. Still, I try my best to do one cover a month. For the month of December, I've actually covered a rather unknown song to many.

This song is a recently released song by my old church, Grace Assembly of God. It's called Eyes To See in the album of the same name. I couldn't get the tune out of my head and so, I put it into what I can play. Amazing song, with the guitar parts written by the two alternating guitarists ever since I left the church.

I unlisted the video for privacy concerns because this song belongs to my church and I'm only covering it out of personal interest. I seldom do clean songs because it's much harder to play clean on electric guitar. But since I'm already adding some of my own improvisations, clean is the way to go!

Didn't use many effects, except my Fulltone OCD for the heavy parts. How can I ever not use the OCD??? Verses and first chorus are pretty sweet on the neck pickup tone. Second chorus and bridge are just overlays of what the vocalists are singing. I will gladly play this song on stage should I ever get the chance to.

Pretty wordy post, I know, but I can't help it. This is gonna be the new style of blog posts in this blog for the near future. Until I can see myself going big again in the music world, I have to settle for the current situation. Did I mention that university workload really is a killer???

2022 peace out!!!

📖 Psalm 95:1-2

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
