I figured it was because I'm still damn weak in my music skills so I lost the mood for guitar. But today, I'm in Siemens Mobility, doing an internship for the Project Management Team, and I'm receiving a monthly allowance of $1500.
With this little money I have, I kinda wanna return to guitaring, simply because I miss the feeling of playing a guitar. Things are only gonna get better here on out, meaning the cash flow is gonna be smoother. I can expect myself to get more gear in the coming days and explore more gear!
Here in 2024, the amount of multi-effects pedals have increased exponentially. Almost every music company has a digital machine now. The possibilities are endless! Compared to just 2 to 3 years back, Line 6 was king. Today, Line 6 still is king, but there are many many underdogs fighting for the crown.
One upcoming champion I'm looking at is the Boss IR-2. This amp, cabinet and IR-loader in a standard Boss-sized metal enclosure sure got a lot of eyebrows raised already. Alongside it is the brand new Line 6 POD Express. These two are the recent wonders.
Elsewhere, the Strymon Iridium is still going strong, the HX Stomp is still holding its own, even a new Hotone Stomp II joined the competition. On the portable headphone amp side, Fender's Mustang Micro is still in battle with Boss' Katana Go. On the physical amps and speakers side of life, Boss Katana just got upgraded to version 3 and Headrush FRFR108 got upgrade to version 2!
Of course, how can I leave out the guitars? Just last year, PRS with their SE DGT and SE 594 got me really invested for a while, and Squier with their special run Classic Vibe FSR Thinline in Butterscotch Blonde reminded me so much of my Edcaster. Most importantly, Epiphone is starting to release models with the open-book headstock! My eyes are definitely on Epiphone now!
With so many new gear to check out, it's gonna be yet another exciting season upcoming! Of course, I still need to find time for guitar covers too!
