Dude was selling a mint condition Helix for just $950. Price is even cheaper than a Helix LT man. I previously sold mine for $1250, so repurchasing at $300 cheaper for a newer unit is like heavenly. What's more, dude packed his Helix with so many paid presets and IRs. Coupled with a high quality Gator soft case, this is just insane value!
Definitely had this thought for a while now. Maintaining analog pedals are not easy. Most of the parts are starting to oxidise and dust has been accumulating. I asked myself why I'm still holding on to an analog board when a digital one is so much more convenient.
Couple of reasons actually. Firstly, the OCD-Ge. My absolute most favourite pedal. Had to build a board to use the pedal. Done. That's the main reason. Then it's to use the HX Stomp. There you go, the only two reasons why I built this board.
Recently though, my life's plans been changing so much that I have let go most of the things I held dear in my life. So I figured it's time to go back to basics for my guitar gear as well. As much as I cannot bear to dismantle the Metro 16 pedalboard, I highly think it's time to do so. But in 2025 of course.
Below are the prices I would list for each individual item on the Metro 16:
1. HX Stomp: $750
2. Dunlop Volume: $150
3. SP Compressor: $130
4. OCD-Ge: Not decided yet
5. Zvex Distortron: $120
6. Wireless Relay: $250
7. CS6 Power Supply: $150
8. Metro 16: $120
9. Patch cables: Yet to be determined
Rough total will come out to around $2000, more than doubling the price of this Helix I just bought. Although, fingers-crossed, there's a chance I'll retain the power supply, Stomp, Wireless Relay and OCD on a pedaltrain nano for collection sake, though the cost of this "collection" still adds up to $1300.
That said, I'm heading to Japan for holiday this coming December. Who knows what I might bring back from there?
