But that's not the main point of this post. Today, or rather, 3 days ago, I accomplished what I intended when I sold off my M13. To cut the story short, it's because of a wah pedal. Yes, I know, why can't I just buy it and chain off my M13. You see, analog and digital don't really go hand in hand. So I took the huge jump. 3 days ago, I finally clinched a 3-week-long deal with a fellow carouseller over a Dunlop Classic Wah. He was constantly overseas and I was constantly schedule-packed. It was only on Thursday when he arranged me to pick it up at his house at Bukit Panjang. Since I was returning home from school, I dropped by on the way. Well, he is a rich guy from a landed property so I assume his pedal would be in great condition. And it is.
Dunlop Cry Baby Classic Wah, the legendary pedal used by rockers throughout history. This pedal can make or break your sound; meaning if you can control it well, you will create your own sound. If you can't, there goes your sound. I suppose there isn't much to talk about because this pedal is just so famous. Here is a picture of mine, bought at $85:
For practice sessions, when I am too lazy to bring out my whole pedalboard, I will just use these 2 alone:
Well, there you have it, version 1.02, the main reason I switched to analog. I can't stress enough how excited I am to continue learning the solo of Sweet Child of Mine now that I have a wah pedal on board. Sadly, I have my final exams next week so I probably won't play much this week. And yes, I am still gonna record the 2 promised songs, just not anytime soon. So yeah... Peace out!
