Seriously, everyone has them that it is so easy to simply just borrow one instead of bringing one myself. Then again, most cable tips in Singapore oxidises at a tremendous rate. Such a turn-off if I don't put it in a constant low humidity environment.
So recently, I am beginning to experience connection issues (even at a live acoustic session) whenever I plug my guitars in. The soundboard cannot detect the presence of my acoustic guitar. Changing channels was useless. Also, my amplifier kept giving me hissing sounds whenever I plug my electric ones in. Then I realised, my cables are goners.
They have oxidised so much that the connection was facing so much signal interception. All except one failed me. The one which is still working properly is my longest 20ft cable, with gold-plated tips. Yes, those gold-plated tips are the MVPs. So I set out to hunt for new gold-plated cables.

And I found this at Bras Basah. It costed me $29 from Ranking Sports and Music. Although it is a pretty pricey spend to me, the kill switch had me sold. D'addario has long been quality guitar string makers, but heck I did not even know they control Planet Waves.
With a kill switch that is able to mute any signal when plugging and unplugging, this cable is worth trying. And that gold-plated tip should last me for quite a while. I bought a 3 metre one and if it is good to use, I will consider buying more of these. This time, I'm gonna take good care of this cable and not leave it lying around to oxidise.
