👑 The Prince Of Tone

Surprise!!! Been wanting to find a boutique Tubescreamer to take over my Ibanez TS-9 and I only want this particular pedal. Sold off the TS9 long ago but only until today am I able to find this pedal on sale. Presenting half of the highly sought after King of Tone, the Analogman Prince of Tone!!!

Chanced upon this pedal on Carousell going at $260. Comparing prices with Ebenex which is retailing it at $210, it seems like this seller is trying to cheat my money. Upon closer source comparisons, Ebenex clearly does not ship over Analogman products anymore, so the $210 price tag is really outdated. Seeing no other choice (and scarcity of this pedal on eBay), $260 seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

This pedal sounds exactly like a Tubescreamer on the OD mode, to my amazement! I almost couldn't hear the difference based on my memory of how the TS9 sounded. What is even more amusing is the Boost mode, because I'm really loving it. The last mode (Distortion mode) is just an added bonus to what's already on board!

And of course this pedal is hopping onto my pedalboard. Interestingly, this is my first ever standard-enclosure pedal with top mounted jacks (my only other top-jacked pedal is the Timeline). Seeing how tightly squeezed my Riot and OCD are, this PoT would take over either one. OCD is my favourite, so the Riot will be removed temporarily. The Timmy will still stay because of its ever powerful clean tone!

Meanwhile, the Riot will most probably be used interchangeably with my OCD whenever the situation calls for it. Being at the bottom right corner of my pedalboard, it is easy to switch things around whenever I want to.

Now it will be harder than ever to swap out any of my pedals. I'm contemplating on putting back the Riot and removing the Nano POG, but then I'll be cutting myself away from the amazing sounds I can achieve with the POG. Ahhhhhhhh....

Meanwhile, on the other side of life, my sister just purchased a keyboard, intending on learning how to play a piano. She chose the E-X20 model from Roland, a wise choice I would say. Roland is a brand that produces some of the best keyboards and electronic drum sets out there in the market. I'm just very happy she is picking up an instrument to invest quality time in!

Back to my side of life, there won't be any guitar covers for this month because of my super duper busy army life. I am inside the SAF driving course now and usually I am too tired to do anything once I reach home every night. A little noodling with my Classic Vibe Telecaster into the THR10C and I'm done for each day.

But I'm happy where I am in life now. Things are looking so good!!!
