🔥 Whew!!!

Lots to thank God for in this intense dry season. Pun intended literally and metaphorically. I am finally happy with where I stand with my gear, well, also because my music life is finally moving in a new direction!

2 weeks ago, I played for a stage which started this entire blog. R-AGE (my church's youth ministry), or more specifically, my R-AGE friend, invited me back to play as guest. Edwin Sng is a really really good friend of mine, and recently, he has stepped up to become a worship leader. Been on stage with him a few times, even inside the army! This is one guy I wouldn't hesitate to share a stage with!

On his team is also Rachel Tai, another really talented musician. She can play almost everything except electric guitar, so she compliments me a lot on stage too! Had so much fun because on that particular stage, I brought so much more to the table than when I'm on the Chinese Adults' stage. 

Super happy right now because being able to serve in 2 ministries that doesn't clash with each other is a true blessing in itself! And then there's a third possible agenda coming into my life. Apparently someone reached out to me from an online ad I posted about me as an electric guitarist.

Thankful for Jaaron buying me Altoids from USA!

The guy who approached me happened to be a worship leader from another church, a very very young church. He is gathering help from bigger churches to guide his worship team as they are all beginners. He wants me to guide his electric guitarists in modern worship music.

Imagine my amazement because this isn't something that just pops up. This definitely is God telling me "Hey I still need you." Barely a month ago I almost quit guitar life because it was so tough and I wasn't seeing anything in the foreseeable future. Today, I'm a busy man on the weekends, finally.

Recently, I have also made the decision to stop throwing in any more money into my guitar gear. Everything I have now can be considered professional grade, well, everything except for the multimedia processing tool: My laptop. I will now adopt back the gear-out-first-then-gear-in rule.

With that said, it's really high time I start saving up for a MacBook Pro. Windows is killing me day by day each time I try to edit videos and layer my guitar tracks. I really need that seamless operating system in my life right now.

With my weekends packed and Windows system failing me, I don't think I might do guitar covers anytime soon. I'm also struggling with my own thoughts and times are really tough for me now. Hope I can see some light soon!
