ðŸŽĩ September Purchases

Recently, I have been playing more acoustic guitar for my worship sets. There was a sudden realisation that when I swap duties with another guitarist on a different week, the songs would require acoustic guitar more than an electric.

With that, bringing the Mono Sleeve around is a real pain in the ass. The front pocket is very difficult to hook and unhook. The internal storage is limited and the zipper punch holds nothing more than a few picks. Only good thing about the Sleeve is loading the guitar in without lying it down on the floor.

So it's finally time for an upgrade. Sold off the Mono Sleeve for $120 on Carousell. Went over to Swee Lee to get the Mono Classic for $229. This version also comes with the D-rings so now I suppose I can bring out my HX Stomp to go with my acoustic sets too. Really happy about this upgrade.

Next, I bought a Hercules GS412B guitar stand from Ranking Music, as seen in the picture above. My church uses these stands on stage and after using it for a while I am very amazed by how well it is built. Sturdy and firm, and plus it looks good from the front. Costing me $34, it was a good buy as now I have a proper guitar stand to take pictures with!

This next item is a brass guitar slide, which I bought at Swee Lee for $10. I have long wanted to try sliding the guitar for more ambient tones. Certain song bridges sound very nice with the help of a guitar slide. One example is Like Incense (Sometimes By Step) by Hillsong. Will be experimenting with it soon!

Now on to some future talk as usual. Aside from the impending purchase of a MacBook Pro for my multimedia usage, I think I may not be investing in guitar pedals anymore. As much as drive pedals may tingle my nerves, I figured money would be better spent elsewhere. So much for that friggin long post.

Next up on my target list is an FRFR speaker. Long overdue because I am using my Yamaha THR10C all this while at home. While it sounds good, it's nothing near my Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones' quality. I need that same level of quality in a good speaker and I have narrowed my search down to a Headrush 108 speaker.

Selling for USD$200+, this is one good bargain for a speaker that comes from such a huge brand. On one hand, I still have one unsold guitar pedal (Hotone Vow Press). But on the other, I do have some cash now and is waiting for a good time to purchase this speaker online. But that's okay. I have made enough purchases for this month! :)

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
