ðŸŽĨ Sony CX405 & A Try-Out

Well, life is good, I can surely say. Why so? Because I can keep upgrading my gear and buy new equipment. The newest gear in my arsenal is the Sony CX405 Camcorder. Bought it for $400 brand new at Sony store and got the tripod cheap on Shopee.

This is the best entry level camcorder in the market and it is a significant improvement to my old Samsung front camera. I chose a camcorder because of the rotating screen, which can let me see myself when I play. That is a key feature to me.

I'm still trying out different angles, but it's tough recording at my rather squeezy balcony. After setting up the camcorder, I pressed record and did a quick cover of Nothing Is Impossible, a song that I just only played hours ago on stage. Here's the cover!

This is also my very first recording with this pedalboard. I've always preferred the Helix Floor when it comes to recording because of its ease-of-use. But today since I'm testing out gear, I figured I'd give this board a try. Turned out pretty well, way better than I expected.

Unfortunately, I'm beginning to think that the Snake Oil Very Thing pedal is useless. I have high gain covered by stacking OCD-Ge and Scarlett Love, mid-gain covered by all 3 dirt pedals individually, but low gain uncovered. The Very Thing is the odd one out because it doesn't really excel in anything. Hoping to get a super transparent overdrive to take its place next.

YOLO!!!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
