ðŸĨš Wishlist Revamp (Or Scrap?)

Wow. I was just looking around my blog to find ideas for more content. Then I came to my wishlist, which has been there for quite a long while. When I reviewed my wishlist, I thought to myself, wow, not very practical. I mean, just look at it:

Most, if not all, of the items on my wishlist is but a want, not a need. Either they look cool, or would be fun to have. Then I made the decision to scrap all that because of one simple change in my life: I'm going out of job soon!!!

Okay, not so soon. I still have around one year left before I go ahead for my further studies in university. But still, it was a rather sudden change of direction of my life and I would like to prepare for it. This post would be a rather monumental post as I make some of my guitar journey's most drastic decisions.

First up, my Line 6 Helix Floor. It has been an amazing few years with this tone monster. From day 1 till recently, I have been in awe of what this beast can do. I have barely scraped the surface of the Helix only.

But then again, it is very recently that I put together a pedalboard revolving around the HX Stomp and I just love it so much. It is my utmost regret to be selling the Helix Floor now but well, if no one's buying, then I guess I'm keeping it for now.

Next up, guitars. It is safe to assume I'll be expanding my tonal range via the guitars instead. Currently, I have a plan to add 2 more guitars into my arsenal, both of which will have different pickup options to provide an even more extensive range.

A guitar that I'm slated to test in a few weeks' time is a Fender Cabronita Telecaster. Saw it floating around on Carousell for $800 for quite a while already. It has a maple neck, TV Jones Classic Filtertrons and a Sunburst finish. Pretty straightforward but it's the filtertron pickups that caught my attention.

Well, if I really purchase the Cabronita, it's only right to fill my last slot with a rosewood-necked guitar with P90 pickups. Two guitars come to mind with that combination. A Les Paul Junior to match my EC-1000 or a Fender Jim Adkins Telecaster to match my Thinline Telecaster. Both are really good options but I guess I'll just have to leave it up to fate.

Last but not least, the wishlist itself. Sad to say as a kid, I do have big dreams. But living in the real world, it isn't practical to have many big dreams. Before I got the news that I'm slated for university enrolment next year, I wanted to upgrade to a better motorbike, I wanted to buy more pedals for fun, I wanted to travel overseas yearly.

Times are different now and so, plans change. With this, I end this post, while leaving it as a filler to more great content ahead! Cheers!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
