🔊 Headrush FRFR-108

After selling the Boss Katana 50, I can only dream of hearing my pedalboard run through an actual speaker that pushes the air with sound. I was researching around different Full Range Flat Response speakers to resolve that craving, and decided on either the Alto or Headrush speakers.

To be honest, this is really just a side interest. I'm totally fine if I can't get my hands on a speaker. My life would still go on. But if I get the chance, why not?

Enter the Headrush FRFR-108 powered speaker!!! Got it for $270 after it was listed this morning on Carousell. I immediately offered upon seeing it pop up as these things are a pretty rare find here in Singapore. Drove over to collect it in the evening and jammed on it the entire night. I only have one word: Wow!

The Headrush FRFR-108 is the next best thing I've heard other than through my Beyerdynamic headphones. I definitely could see myself wanting to jam more in the days to come, especially now that I have rectified my EC-1000's toggle switch problem (turns out a little WD-40 really went a long way). The only gripe I have, which is also shared by many, is the bass frequencies interacting with the floor causing it to sound boomy.

September was a crazy month for me. Spent so much this month advancing my gear that I'm at a loss for words. I saw the Boss Katana visit my arsenal, one Prism surprising me in a very good way, and one Distortron to bomb the board away! And now this!

Honestly, I would really like to stop spending so much money, especially next year being a transition year for me. But I still have a 2nd HX Stomp to buy, a possible Hotone Ampero One to aim for and maybe another wireless guitar system! Not to mention another Warmoth guitar some time in the far future!
