ðŸĨģ An Early Birthday Gift

Yay!!! It's my time of the year again!!! This year, my birthday will be a little different, in the sense that the two weeks leading up to my birthday is one of the craziest and busiest two weeks. One week is preparation for field camp and the other week is field camp itself. What a sad life this year...

Nonetheless, I got myself something nice for the occasion to cheer myself up! Alright alright, I know I've been spending a lot recently on gear acquisition, especially in September. My pedalboard went through a whole lot of changes. Today's purchase, however, looks to be the last of it.

Enter the 2nd wireless guitar system I currently own, the Boss WL-50. Got this brand new from Swee Lee today for $289 since I know I'll be using it for many years to come. It's just one of those things I won't really sell unless I quit guitar.

The Boss WL-50 differs from my Line 6 G10 in the sense that it uses a standard 9V power input instead of a mini-USB one. The WL-50 is also more pedalboard friendly than the G10 because it comes in the same size as a standard Boss pedal.

Pedalboard v5.71 has 3 dirt stages, so 1 of them is gonna get replaced by the Boss WL-50. Fulltone OCD-Ge is practically untouchable while the Distortron is getting a whole lot of love from me recently. So it only makes sense to let the boost pedal go, which is the Jackson Audio Prism.

The WL-50 will take the place of the OCD-Ge, pushing it back down to the bottom rung, kicking off the Prism in the process. This means v5.8 will see the SP Compressor change orientation once again to better fit the board with both sides receiving a 1/4 input patch cable.

The Line 6 G10 however, won't be leaving my arsenal anytime soon. There is still use for it's mini-USB power input, and that is on the Pedaltrain Nano. As many have realised, I'm also trying to sell the Helix to fund a board exactly like v4.3, which I'll aptly name v4.5 so as not to confuse myself in the future.

Yes. My Stomp main rig will have a backup Stomp flyrig.

So with the G10 safely planned for the Nano board, all is set and all will be well. I just love wireless guitar systems. Makes life so much easier!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
