😍 Wallpapers 2021

What do you do when you have a better-than-average phone camera and a whole bunch of aesthetically pleasing guitar gear? You take some jaw-dropping photos. And that is exactly what I did today. I figured it's time to change some backgrounds and covers around on my blog and YouTube channel so here goes!

First up, I have this crazy addiction to headstock photos. I think the headstock of a guitar is the first thing any addicts would look at when spotting a guitar from afar. As corny as it sounds, the headstock of a guitar will give those who know a rough idea of the kind of player. If you see a Fender, dude probably plays mellow stuff. If you see a Gibson, rock it!! Yamaha? Acoustic!!! Ibanez? Metal!!! This headstock photo became the most updated background of my blog.

Then, finally, a cool-ass picture of my v5.8 pedalboard. This is the pedalboard I'm gonna stick with for quite a while because there is nothing I feel I need to change on the board. I selected a rather vintage vibe to this photo to showcase the stillness in the background of a rather colourful pedalboard, evoking a sense of calm in the storm. The shadows are perfectly lit with the top of the photo gleaming with brightness.

If I took a photo from the left, how could I miss a photo from the right? A lot of times, seeing a board always raises this one question "What board is it?". Well, I started with the focal point on the Metro 16 branding and cutting off part of the pedalboard up top to evoke some sense of mystery. Chose a dreamy filter to further enhance the mystery vibe.

After fixing the pickup selector switch with some contact cleaner, I fell more in love with the EC-1000, enough to pull it off the market after I thought the faulty switch meant the end of my time with this masterpiece. I found some amazing tones with this guitar and I'm proud to have it as my number 2 guitar. Yellow on Black never ceases to amaze!!!

Well, how could I forget my first love? This guitar has been in the spotlight for ages and I'm putting it 2nd today just to give the EC-1000 a chance to shine. No words can describe my love for Thinline Telecasters. The weight and tones that comes out of this thing is one to die for. Looking forward to many more great years with the Thinline!!!

What started off as a desperate attempt to sell off this pedal became an obsession to capture one of my best Carousell picture ever! The Prism has been around for some time and it got kicked off by the Boss WL-50 from v5.71. I have been trying to sell it ever since but had no luck. With a little playful arrangement of my existing gear, I hope that this fresh piece of advertisement photo will capture more interest on Carousell!

Another idea soon popped into my head when I realised the Black from the Prism matches the Black from my EC-1000. A careful edit of colours in this classic filter proved to be gold when the picture is so damn smooth. I removed the blinding gold colours in the hardware of the EC-1000 while dimming down the bindings to bring forth the Prism into the focal point. Just wow!

Last but not least, my smartphone's home wallpaper. Ever since I used a cinematic filter on pedalboard v5.4, I have been using it as my wallpaper ever since. The slightly bluish feel makes scrolling on the phone easier on the eyes. The colours are there but it's not distracting. Having it as a wallpaper reminds me of everything I stand and work for in life. I can never find a better one, well, except for my Lock Screen wallpaper shown below.

Will you just take a look at that Lock Screen? The way the blurred out fretboard makes it so easy to check the time and date by bringing them to the front is just so sick. The focus of the picture then brings me to the golden tuners amidst a yellow on matte black headstock. Feels so damn sick. I could probably never find anything better ever again. How could any other wallpaper compare to this?

I don't know about you, but taking these pictures just makes me feel so contented with what I have. It definitely hasn't been an easy journey and this just feels like another milestone in this never-ending tone quest. Feel free to use any of my pictures in any way you want. Just remember to credit me!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
