ðŸ’ŧ Cyber Monday

Who knew I'd finally make use of Cyber Monday properly after skipping on this holiday for years? Ever since I had the thought to sell off my Line 6 Helix Floor (sold already on 9th January 2022), I have been eyeing the Line 6 Helix Native. I've spent so much money buying presets that it would be such a waste not to continue using them.

And finally, the 30% off arrived on Cyber Monday 2021 and I instantly purchased Helix Native for USD$69.99, which converts to around SGD$95. Super worth. Helix Native allows me to use every patch that I ever owned via the Floor without even having the physical device!!!

With the M1 Pro MacBook Pro 2021 coming my way, the Helix Native is gonna be the ultimate tone bender in my life. Imagine running the best plug-in in the market on the best laptop in the market; CRAZY!!!

On the other side of life, I have also made use of Cyber Monday to purchase David Hislop's HX Stomp All-In patch bundle. Been eyeing it for awhile ever since I moved my operations from the Floor to Stomp, but DH's original price was too hefty. With 50% off, it became affordable enough and yay to crazy awesome patches!!!

However, I have decided to give up on building a 2nd HX Stomp board (PBv4.3) because of grounding issues. When using my Anker powerbank to power the Stomp and the Line 6 G10 simultaneously, all of David Hislop's patches have this super loud hum that gets louder each time the Tap Tempo button flashes. Strangely, Worship Tutorial's patches doesn't have this issue.

Either way, I already have another idea in mind. Just very recently, Hotone released the Ampero Stomp pedal and it seems like a great alternative to the HX Stomp. Ampero Stomp comes with touch screen, lower current draw and a bit more DSP than the HX Stomp.

I might wanna get the Ampero Stomp instead and pair it with a MIDI controller like a Morningstar MC6 to cover the only weakness of the Ampero Stomp: Snapshots. So I'm officially re-imagining pedalboard version 4.5 to be one with the Ampero Stomp instead.

Inevitably, the Line 6 G10 had to go because of space issues. The G10 have served me well for the last 3 years. Selling it tomorrow for a loss of $60 but 3 years of usage made it worth it. Bittersweet moment right there!

Moving on, with the Helix Native just waiting to be installed on my brand new M1 Pro MacBook, David Hislop's HX Stomp patches to explore and the future planning of the Ampero Stomp, my future sure looks exciting!!! Come on December! It's time for Christmas!!!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
