This photo was plucked directly from my email tonight. Yes, it is happening. I finally mustered enough courage to place an order from Warmoth. I wanted to order a full on guitar body and neck from Warmoth, but at the same time can't seem to let go the Vintage Noiseless pickups on my current Telecaster.
That itself gave me an idea. I will transfer over parts from my current Telecaster to the new body to cut unnecessary costs. I won't need a new neck for now as I currently am quite satisfied with this neck. Pickups obviously not. Nothing beats vintage noiseless.
I will be transferring the metal and plastic parts too since most of it is still workable on my Telecaster. If I really want new parts, at least it would be easier to find in Singapore than a custom body. SGD885 might seem crazy for a guitar body with a custom pickguard, but then again I've spent crazy money on crazy things.
After I take off the strings on my Telecaster, I'm gonna give everything a good clean until they shine. Hopefully the guitar body arrives fast and I can start work on my dream guitar. I also hope everything will fit on nicely and I don't have to order more replacement parts.
