After the Line 6 Helix joined my guitarsenal, I haven't GASed for a new pedal ever since. So much money is saved just because of that. And with the steady income from my full-time job, I can feel myself getting one step closer to my dream guitar. About 2 months ago, I made a post on this particular guitar. Today, I'll add on so much more.
To those who knows where this screenshot comes from, I need your help! I have never ordered a guitar online, much less parts of a guitar. This is gonna be my virgin experience so I need all the help I can get. This screenshot will be a reminder of the specs I have decided on as of today.
I plan to order this guitar body from Warmoth and have them ship directly to Singapore, no matter the costs. I have searched far and wide for custom guitar builders and the brand Warmoth still shows up at the top of the lists.
Either I get my hands on an American Telecaster Deluxe maple neck (with the metallic Fender logo) or I order one from Warmoth also. If I end up ordering the neck from Warmoth, I will be custom printing my own headstock decal. It will be a 52 Fender logo, with "Edcaster" replacing the word "Telecaster". Behind the neck, I will add a Fender Custom Shop logo to complete it all.
Pickups wise I will transfer the Fender Noiseless N3 pickups from my current FSR Ash Telecaster. Since it will be a semi-hollow, the noise-cancelling function of those pickups will be a great deal. I will be getting modern locking tuners to go on the headstock.
Shipment will cost me another $100+ so it will be good if I can get both items to ship together. It will cost me about estimated $1000+. It will be a worthy investment as I am planning to keep the guitar for life. Selling either of my guitars will get me back the $1000+ so it's all good. If needed, I got 4 more pedals to sell too. :)
At the same time, I am looking for a humbucking guitar desperately. I realised I can't achieve a certain tone because both my current guitars are single-coiled and it is pissing me off a lot. Recently had the thought of getting a Gibson Les Paul Standard instead of the LTD EC-1000 because the LTD is so damn rare these days. A Gibson is much more common.
Thinking of it, having a Thinline Telecaster and a Gibson Les Paul, I can cover a great amount of tones, which would suffice for the rest of my life. But I only want a custom spec-ed Thinline Telecaster and a Gibson is still quite out of my price range. I can safely say probably by the end of next year I will obtain at least one of them.
Stay tuned for amazing updates in years to come!
