Wow. It has been 2 whole months since I last recorded a guitar cover. I have moved house and got myself so busy with work that I just don't have the time. Today, I recorded what I believe is my fastest guitar cover ever. One take was all I need for this amazing cover!
Decided to revisit this song I recorded 2 years ago. It's one of the easiest songs to play due to it's incredibly easy riffs and addictive beats. Since I haven't had much time, I figured I'd record this today. It took me 5 minutes to set up, 5 minutes to record and 5 minutes to tear down. Wow, just wow!
This great improvement can only be credited to my exposure by playing in a live band. The increase in confidence on stage simultaneously increased my confidence to record covers at home. This is just too unbelievable.
In this cover, I recorded using my Fender Stratocaster Deluxe into the godly Line 6 Helix. Since this is a Planetshakers song, I used the Planetshakers patch I bought from Worship Tutorials here. The tone is unbelievably close to the Planetshakers tone and I'm so happy about it. Practically didn't touch the effects throughout the song because there wasn't a need to.
This super fast recording have indeed reminded me how fun it is to record and playback my covers when I'm bored. Would definitely try this again tomorrow with another song revisit. I aim to re-record every of my songs with the Line 6 Helix just because it's that amazing!
So how much better is this version compared to this one 2 years ago?
