This two items entered my arsenal this very year and exited together today. First up is the Line 6 HX Stomp!!! No, not my black one, I'll never sell my black one. So a few months ago, I purchased a 2nd HX Stomp after selling off the Helix Floor.
It's in the limited edition blue colour, contrary to what the above photo depicts. Got it for $720, sold it off today to a good Carousell friend for $750. I left most of my purchased presets and IRs in the Stomp for him. I'm just very happy that it's him who's getting the pedal from me.
Since I broke my toe last week, he came over to my house to collect the Stomp and also to let me try out his Solar A2.6 guitar. What a fun time!!! There's a reason why I'm selling this 2nd HX Stomp and abandoning my portable flyrig for now. See the next post to find out why!!
Next up, it's the Mooer GTRS guitar! Chanced upon it when I sold off my Boss Katana 50 Mk2 last year to a guy who was carrying this guitar model. Been on my mind and watchlist for quite a while before finally landing in my hands in February. Purchased it at $600 from GuitarEmerge.
This is a phenomenal guitar. The GTRS magic knob is a real MVP. I played this guitar the most in my bedroom, easily setting it up with my JBL bluetooth speaker. I even brought it to Impact Life Church once to attend guitar lessons from the worship guitarists. They were rather amazed at the GTRS technology too!
Ultimately, it was the cheap construction and poor fretwork that I decided to let this guitar go. Mooer even already came out with the version 2 of this guitar with a much better construction, most importantly stainless steel frets. I'm a big fan of stainless steel frets so nickel have to go. Sold it for $450 to an irritating buyer on Carousell.
So total sales for today was $1200. Not bad. Since I'm stuck at home for the foreseeable future due to recovery of my broken toe, one can bet I have more things to look forward to buying. Keeping the Mooer GTRS version 2 at the back of my mind, there is one area of guitar I can't wait to venture into!
Time to see what's next?
