My school holidays are ending in like 4 days so I figured it would be a waste to not record another video before school starts. After days of procrastination, recovering from an injured hand and meeting all my friends, I finally sat down today and recorded a song cover. Song name is Hosanna by Hillsong United. Its a fairly simple song to play on the electric guitar because of its simple licks and solo. 🎸 I had a lot of fun playing the song, especially during the chorus part because it gets really addictive on the chords. 🎼 Here are the effects I used for the song:

I used my Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster here as the electric parts doesn't require the deep lows of my Gibson humbuckers. In fact, I even use the bridge pickup on my Tele for maximum twang! Ibanez TS9's usage is pretty straight-forward because of its unique clean boost ability. OS-2 is used for its drive during the chorus and bridge. The most important effect is the Digital Delay. Dotted 8th is present throughout the song (except on the little clean part after the bridge which I did not play). I figured it would take me precisely 0.5 seconds to turn of my OS-2 and on my TS9 to do that particular clean part. In the original song there are at least 2 guitarists so they do not have to do this. Every knob on the amp is at 12 O'clock for simplicity issues. Smart Gate have to hit that tiny sweet spot because any less and the fuzz will get extremely noisy. Any more and it will reduce the sustain for the delay. Overall, it is an easy song with simple effects. 😊

One big difference on this video is that I have now included a custom made YouTube intro. I spent at least 5 hours on Panzoid (Free YouTube intro maker) figuring my way around because digital arts ain't my thing. But it was worth it because now my videos looks so so cool! 😎
