🎬 Prophesy

Prophesy is now my most favourite Christian song, period. I love it that Planetshakers are finally going back to heavy lead lines on the electric guitar. I love how good the drums sound in this song, as well as the occasional EDM and break-pauses in between.

I took quite awhile to learn this song; a couple of hours to be sure. There are some parts which are quite challenging to play and some parts require swift movements. Overall, it is an amazing song and I rate it the same difficulty level as This Is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham.

I used a lot of distortion in this song, so much so that it takes both my OCD and Riot combined to achieve. Of course I didn't set the Riot to high gain territory because the stacking of OCD after it takes care of that. The Timmy is my "always on" pedal this time, so is the HoF 2, SP Comp and the Timeline. For my delay settings, I used Hillsong's dotted 8th digital delay set at 128 BPM, with the mix and repeats set to low as I didn't want the echos to interrupt the quiet parts.

I ran the same setup as the previous 2 videos: Pedalboard into the Tech 21 Blonde, into the Focusrite 2i4 and then into my Ableton Live 9 Lite, with my Yamaha THR10C as my live playback device. I used my trusty Fender Deluxe Stratocaster for this video and I couldn't be happier because the neck is ever so smooth to play.

With this, I declare 2018 to be a fruitful year since I started this year so great! January has indeed been a busy month but I just thank God that I am able to do what I need to do and want to do! Praise be to God always!

πŸ“– Psalm 95:1-2

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
