Now for an update about what's happening and what's gonna happen in the few weeks to come.
Just 2 days ago, I bought a new Mono casing to add to my collection. The Mono M80 Acoustic Sleeve will serve it's purpose soon. I am looking to upgrade my acoustic guitar for a really long time and what better way it is than to first start with the case. Obviously I already have a case but that shitty case is, well, really shitty. Couldn't be happier when I chanced upon this Mono Sleeve for $150 on Carousell.
A new case is deserving of a worthy guitar, as such, the next item on my grocery list is the Yamaha FSX830C. I have striked off Taylor and Martin for the untouchable prices, Maestro for the unfamiliar models and other brands for the looks. I chose this particular model because of the bindings and the familiar smaller body shape I'm so used to. For now, I cannot pull the gun yet because...
...I need to sell off a guitar first. Amongst my 4 current guitars (Fender Deluxe Strat, Squier CV Tele, Yamaha bass, Gretsch G5420T), the Gretsch is the one I have to let go. After thinking for a really really long time, I have decided that I prefer Strats and Teles to other shapes of guitars a lot more. Pricing the G5420T at little lesser than what I bought it for, I hope to use the money to get myself a new acoustic (as mentioned) or another electric...
I am also currently looking at swapping my Ibanez TS-9 for a boutique TS-styled pedal. One particular pedal I am looking to buy once it's shipment arrives at Ebenex is the Analogman Prince of Tone.
This purple box is capable of a huge range of sounds and the chips within is interchangeable to my liking. Being literally half of the famous King of Tone, I just can't wait to try it out. Notable other swaps on my pedalboard include the Nano POG (the next least-used pedal on my board). But for now, I don't have any plans to swap it for anything else.
To end off this post, I need to talk about my next guitar cover. As already mentioned, army is keeping me busy most of the time and the only days I get to record is on weekends, which is packed to the absolute brim every time. Now I just hope I can get some off days for the hard work I have been doing in camp...
But first, let me get all my gear sorted out.
