ðŸŒą Looking Ahead: 2019

As 2019 approaches, it's time to do something I've missed last year: Resolutions. I know most resolutions don't work out most of the time, but it doesn't hurt to try. So here's what I want to achieve for the year of 2019.

As my career in the army stabilises after February 2019, my schedule would be more or less constant for the next few years of my life. With that, I wanna dedicate this first year of life stability to exploring my own gear more in depth.

I have still so much to cover for this piece of gear. After months of playing, I think I've only scratched the surface of what this thing can do. I would really wish I had more time to explore in depth into the Line 6 Helix this year so I can truly say I'm a master of it.

The next thing I wanna achieve this year is recording stability. Ableton is a great software, no doubts about it. But I wanna do so much more than just record. I wanna make videos. And this Windows OS is limiting me so much. Would get a MacBook if fate allows and get real on these recording needs.

I am still very keen on picking up a humbucking guitar and I think I will make it happen this year, be it a PRS, Gibson or any other brand. I wanna expand my tone range to beyond single coils so I can do some hard rock as well too!

It has been my dream to stand on a church stage with my electric guitar. But recent times have showed me that I have to be very specific on the kind of stage I want. Serving at the Chinese Adults Side proved to be quite a challenge due to the language and that made me realise what I really want for myself. I will spend this year to seek opportunities just like old times.

For now, these are the only few goals I set for myself this year. Don't really wanna set so many goals because what's the point if I can't meet them?

I will strive to be at my best for 2019.

📖 Psalm 95:1-2

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
