💰 The Extreme Sale

To make way for the Line 6 Helix, I have literally dismantled my rig and sold off half of what I owned. I cannot believe I'm making this move but then I'm finally making it. The main reason I'm changing back to digital effects is because technology has come so far and for the convenience it is worth it.

My PRS 2018 SE Custom 24 makes up half the price of the Line 6 Helix. I bought this guitar for $750 and spent about $200 to upgrade it to my standards. I loved this guitar a lot that I got it hanging on my wall for quite some time. But it's not getting enough stage time compared to my Fenders and that's the reason I chose to sell it. A super duper reluctant sale to me. Sold for $950, leaving me no net loss for this deal. Gave him the hard shell case instead of the soft bag because the PRS bag is like made of great quality! :)

The Strymon Timeline is the 2nd most expensive sale in this huge exchange. I've always only use this pedal for the dotted 8th delay and quarter delays. I'm like using only 5% of what this pedal can do. So it's really not justifiable to keep a quarter of the price of a Line 6 Helix trapped in just a delay box. Sold this pedal for $480, just $20 lesser than I got it for. I used to think owning a Strymon makes me good, but it's me that actually makes me good.

Next one on the sale list is the pedal power supply. Since I am dismantling my board, the PP2+ seems like overkill for the little pedals I'm left with. So I decided to sell it off and hopefully fund a smaller and newer power supply. Sold it for $160 to a guy who is quite amazed at my Line 6 Helix! This PP2+ has served me well over the years, from a PT2 Classic to the PT Jr. Wonderful supply!

The SP Compressor was a tough choice because this pedal has contributed to my tone countless times. It was always on for every single thing I play and I have found its sweet spot a long time ago. I only sold this pedal off because I heard that Line 6 Helix have a similar effect modeled after the SP Comp. Ok cool! Sold this pedal off for $150.

Sometimes I get so in love with this pedal, other times I don't even look at it. I'm not sure how I feel about loopers at the moment but it's less worrying to know that the Line 6 Helix carries a looper too! Sold this pedal for $120 (same price I bought it) to a friend in church. Hope his creative vibes find love in this pedal!

Ok the volume pedal is kind of the reason why I couldn't go below the size of the PT Junior. It's the most space-consuming pedal on my board that does the simplest thing: Volume control. Now that a Helix comes with a foot pedal that does EVERYTHING, I see no point in keeping this VP Jr. Sold it off for $80! :)

Surprise surprise! I also sold off the Maestro Protege for $100! The tuners are starting to give up on me and I think it's time to get rid of it before it haunts me for good. My brother now just jams on my Yamaha, which is fine with me too! 2nd guitar to be sold in this huge sale, amazing!

Even the Orange amplifier which has been my desk decoration for years have been sold away. Don't know why but I just sold it because I can. $30 added to the pile of funds I collected!

I have also sold off the PT Jr and it's Mono case for $150 together. Didn't take a picture of those so just noting it down for recollection purposes. Got a Tech 21 Blonde and the tap tempo pedal still hanging around on Carousell. Those will be the last few items I'm planning to sell for the time being.

With that, I seem to have finally gathered enough funds to purchase the Line 6 Helix. Here goes!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation! Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.
