Starting with GUITARS, I have currently 5 different axes at home. My ideal arsenal should include 2 electrics of different pickup combinations, 1 bass and 1 acoustic guitar. Of course, additional guitars are always welcomed but these are the basic.
Fender American Ultra II Stratocaster in Vintage Sunburst
Finally, I own the most iconic guitar in the world, a true blue Fender Stratocaster in Vintage Sunburst. I have nothing to say except that I am extremely happy to own this guitar!
Gibson Les Paul Standard 50's in Heritage Cherry Sunburst
I cannot be more proud of being the owner of such an amazing guitar! A Gibson Les Paul is a must-have in any guitar player's arsenal. Unfortunately, I spent a big bulk of my life not having one because it was mostly out of my budget, until I went Japan and got to buy a brand new Gibson at an insanely low price. With stainless steel frets from SWAT Customs, this guitar is here to stay for the rest of my life.
Yamaha FSX830C
A very classic and affordable entry-level acoustic guitar. You'll never go wrong with instruments from Yamaha. This acoustic combines great looks with great playability, and have served me well for the past 7 years. With a higher-end acoustic guitar on my watchlist for 2025, this Yamaha guitar will hopefully be taking up a backseat soon!
Squier Affinity PJ Bass
The mandatory bass guitar of my collection. Ever since I played a full-scale bass guitar, I can never see a short-scale the same way. So I got rid of a short-scale I used to own and got this Squier PJ as my bass of choice. Absolutely love this no-nonsense bass guitar!
And then after guitars, we arrive at guitar PEDALS! In the world of electric guitar, we cannot escape the world of pedals. And quite fortunately, I have enough blessings to own both analog and digital pedals. Helix takes front and center in both camps, and I'm forever grateful for that.
Line 6 Helix Floor
Okay, truth to be told, I have history with the Helix Floor. I owned one for the longest of time and sold it off to return to the analog pedal world. In 2024, I chanced upon a Helix Floor for an absolute crazy price of $1000 and I knew I had to get it. I really miss the times I can mess around with patches and change scenes on-the-go, something analog pedals can never provide. I might never ever sell this Helix Floor again.
For the analog board, I'm changing things up also. I'm just gonna update this one picture as I go along instead of the individual components, only because I love these pedalboard pictures a lot! Anyway, this pedalboard have seen no changes in the last 3 years, and will see no changes in time to come. Basically, this board is my perfect board, one that I spent almost 10 years putting together.
Line 6 HX Stomp
The Line 6 HX Stomp has been the best purchase I've ever made in my life, and is the oldest piece of gear in my arsenal. It predates everything that I own right now. Such a crazy powerful pedal in such a small form factor! If one day I sell off everything else, I can confirm with 100% certainty that the HX Stomp will still be with me.
OneSpot Truetone CS6 Power Supply
This power supply is an industry standard, and one of the only few that can power my HX Stomp without much issues. The fact that it can supply enough power through just one port to my HX Stomp got me sold. Nothing too fancy about it either, just a very rock solid power supply!
Dunlop Volume X Mini DVP4
This volume pedal is something I've never regretted purchasing as well. I have used a couple of volume pedals over the years, but nothing beats this classic pedal at this size. It's perfect for my board.
Xotic SP Compressor
A compressor pedal is a must-have in my opinion. I chose to go with Xotic for the form factor, because I simply do not have space for a normal-sized compressor pedal on my board.
Fulltone Custom Shop OCD-Ge
Retails for who-knows-how-much // Bought this OCD-Ge from eBay brand new
And we arrive at the sole reason I still keep an analog board around. This pedal, is the very essence of my music journey. I loved the base model so much that when this limited edition one got released, I knew I had to build a board for it. And now I did! I love this pedal so so much!
Zvex Vexter Distortron
The only reason I have this weird pedal on board is because it complements my OCD-Ge nicely by doing things the OCD cannot do. And the fact that it's in a horizontal form factor, which fits perfectly on my board, is enough to not make me look elsewhere.
Boss WL-50 Wireless Relay
Again, the form factor was the only reason I got this particular wireless system. After realising how a wireless system eliminates the 60s cycle hum from single coil guitars, I knew I'll never look back to cables ever again.
Pedaltrain Metro 16
It is the perfect size for my needs. This amount of analog pedals is not too heavy until I feel like I'm carrying a full-sized Helix, and also not too light to feel that it's a toy. Never been happier purchasing this one with it's hardcase.
Line 6 POD Express
This was one pedal I wanted since its release, but it was always out-of-stock, together with the Boss IR-2. I managed to snag one in the same Japan trip I got the Gibson from. This pedal is more of a plaything for me as I seldom leave house with my guitars anymore. But it's a fun little box that I occasionally use for fresh tones.
Hotone Jogg
Honestly, this Hotone Jogg is also another piece of gear that I have owned for quite a while. It is the only pedal capable of hooking up my guitars to Helix Native on my Macbook Pro without any power source using only type-C. Crazy portable and useful, hence earning its rightful place in my arsenal.
Pedals aside, I do have OTHER gear worthy of mentioning as well. These gear also costs quite a hefty sum and shouldn't be left out. Monitors, headphones and accessories, are all things that makes my guitar ecosystem run.
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohms
Retails at various locations for a variety of prices // Bought online from Lazada at $209
Classic headphones for all things guitar. Been a while since I owned this pair of headphones. I have yet to find a good reason to change it or upgrade it. But seeing how dirty it has become over the years, I may have to start looking for alternatives soon.
Fender Mustang Micro Plus
Honestly, I really don't know what's my obsession with buying all these alternate forms of amplifications. Line 6 POD Express, Hotone Jogg and now this Mustang Micro Plus, even though I already have one fully working analog board and one Line 6 Helix Floor. Oh wells, at this point, I can safely say my money too much. HAHA.
With that, this marks of end of this lengthy post. Though for the rest of 2025, I'll be constantly updating this post. Hopefully the changes won't be so drastic that I'll have to come out with another Geartalk in the same year.
